China Club Spain has awarded IE University the Chinese-Spanish Educational Cooperation Award. The institution will present the award to Santiago Iñiguez de Onzoño, President of IE University, on November 15 at an event at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid.
IE University is officially recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Education. IE has more than 70 Chinese students in MBA programs, Masters in Finance and Masters in Management, among others, and in recent years has numbered more than 10 Chinese academics among its faculty. IE has undertaken numerous initiatives with educational institutions and Chinese companies, while at the academic level, promotes joint programs with Chinese universities, notably the Dual Degree with Shanghai Jiaotong University. In addition, IE has delegations in Shanghai, with another soon to open in Beijing, to support candidates, students and graduates in their own country.
Furthermore, in collaboration with the China Club Spain, IE organizes an Economic Forum to promote economic relations between both countries and facilitate the sharing of experiences in the field of business and economic policy. In addition, IE promotes the Asian Journalism Award, which in recent years has recognized focusing on the challenges facing the Asian región.
“It is an honor to receive the China Club Spain award. Our institution maintains many ties with China and we continue working to reinforce them at an academic and institutional level,” said Santiago Iñiguez de Onzoño. “At IE University we are committed to technology and innovation, we encourage entrepreneurialism, diversity and the study of the Humanities”, he added.

An award to Chinese-Spanish media group, the International Media Group.
A Career Award to Pablo Rovetta, Director for China at Técnicas Reunidas.
A Career Award to Professor Jingsheng Lu, Professor of Hispanic Philology at the Faculty of Western Languages at the Shanghai International University of Studies.
